These shoes are lovely. They are soft and seem to mold to your feet quickly. There is no breaking in stage. I just started wearing them and they are comfortable and very nice looking.
I desperately wanted these to work for me, because they're (virtually) perfect: They're attractive, well-made, and I love the color options--especially the Bordo and Turquoise-Green. They can be worn with or without socks, and dressed up or down with shorts, jeans, or skirts. (Excellent shoes for a minimalist!)
I usually wear a U.S. 7.5 wide, so I first ordered a size 38, then exchanged them for a 37. (I love the easy/free exchange policy!) The 38s were wide enough for my extra-wide feet, but the shoes were too long (leaving a sizeable heel gap, even with heavy socks). The 37s were just slightly too long, still (not a deal-breaker), but the toe box was too narrow. Even if they'd been able to stretch a quarter size, they still would have hurt my feet at the widest part near the toes.
It's basically impossible to find shoes this versatile and this attractive that will also fit my actual duck feet, and I was absolutely crushed to have to return these shoes. I love them so much, I would literally pay twice as much for a wider (or custom) option--these shoes are worth it. Please offer them in wider widths!
These were my 1st pair of Duckfeet (have since gotten others) & I'd say the trickiest for me on sizing. I am usually a 5 to 5.5 in U.S. sizing, and went with the 35 here. They fit me, but my right foot is slightly longer than my left and so it does barely touch the front end of the toe box. After several wears they do seem more broken in & it doesn't bother me as much as it did on day 1, but I still can notice it at times. I chose to keep them. I did go back for another paid of Lollands and chose the 36. My guess is those could be a little too large, but I will just plan to wear thicker socks with those if so. For reference, in the Arhus boots the 36 are a perfect fit for me, but of course they are wool lined. So I ordered the wool insoles with my Lolland 36, & think that should do the trick to make them just right for me. For my 35's I'll have to stick to no insole or insert and thinner style socks. Very cute, very well made, and the aqua blue color is lots of fun!
Out of the box, I love them. I love the sort of whimsical wide toe box (“duck feet”). Well-made. Can’t say if they’re comfortable yet as I haven’t broken them in yet. I got them in Bordo and my partner asked why I got them in a clown color (to be fair they do give Ronald McDonald, a little) but I don’t care. They’re so cute (in my eyes)
